Samarium Cobalt magnets (SmCo magnets) have two alloy varieties, Sm1Co5 and Sm2 CO17, and offer the superior temperature resistance ( BHmax could achieve as high as 29MGOe) at temperature ranging from 250℃ to 350℃. Because SmCo has superior corrosion resistance compared to neodymium magnets, there is no need for SmCo to have an extra protective coating.

Applications
Its advantage as a high energy product, whose figure is next to neodymium, allows it to be used in smaller, lightweight and thinner product designs.

Samarium Cobalt Magnet is superior in high coercivity, therefore it is more durable if operating in high working temperature. The new series Sm2Co17 has higher Energy product than the 1-5 type. Though the total energy product is lower than Nd-Fe-B magnet, but it has superior temperature stability than the Nd-Fe-B series.
The Samarium Cobalt Magnet is more endurable in moisture environment than the Nd-Fe-B series.

Applications
Can be used in most smaller, lightweight and thinner design products.
